OK, ready to have your mind blown?
Selena Gomez,
Pretty Little Liar Ashley Benson, and
Vanessa Hudgens are in a movie together called
Spring Breakers that is currently shooting in Florida. (WE KNOW.) Oh, yes, and
James Franco and
Glee's
Heather Morris are in it, too. Also, just to up the craymazing WOW factor, the film is written and directed by
Harmony Korine, who pretty much changed the face of teen flicks with his hard-core '90s indie film
Kids. There are so many exclamation points we're mentally inserting right here, but what we
must discuss right now is this seemingly '90s on-set style. You guys, we spy
denim overalls, mega ombre pink hair, and a MUST HAVE
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt. Also, accessories from
Cracker Barrel.
The movie is about a group of
college girls who rob a restaurant to fund a
spring break trip but end up in jail instead. A sketchy drug lord/arms dealer bails them out but not without a price to pay (we're assuming in the vein of teen-sploitation crime since that seems apropos to a Korine vehicle, but we'll have to wait and see). Miss Gomez has already said that this role is a
"raw" departure from what fans are used to seeing. And from what we can tell in these photos, it's also totally stylish in a low-key road trip sort of way.
